Our founder, Ti el Attar not only designed the most iconic and one of the best selling solar products of all time at dlight before, but revolutionized product development by working with customers for months in the villages of Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya and Tanzania to understand people's true needs, prototype and challenge new ideas. This knowledge, combined with the technical brilliance of our Head of Engineering, Stefan Hirsch, forms the core of IONA. We are not managers who hire designers and engineers. We are the designers and engineers.

We program our own chips, design our software, develop the mechanics, and even build our own production robots.
